How We Help

Sweet Grass Advocacy is a recently established (2023) volunteer run 501c3 nonprofit charity focused on providing donations for at risk equines in North America.

Sweet Grass Advocacy, through daily tracking of at risk equines and networking nationally via social media and established alliances in the rescue community has the capacity to donate with immediate contributions  to responsible fundraisers  for horses, mules and burros at risk. The donations benefit equines both domestic and wild  in kill pens with only hours or days to be saved from slaughter.

The large number of titled BLM mustangs taken to auction and bought by kill buyers is unacceptable. Sweet Grass Advocacy makes every effort to help save them from slaughter through donations, networking and sharing of their circumstances.

Sweet Grass Advocacy for North American Equines is not a rescue but provides financial assistance to recommended rescues in good standing. These rescues provide care and home offers to at risk equines with donations to be used at the discretion of the rescues for  care-giving needs including but not limited to emergency hay fundraisers, medical care, quarantine and transport costs.
